Mikayla Gedye is a versatile vocalist, performer, and live audio professional based in Brisbane, with a lifelong connection to music.

With over 15 years of live performance experience, Mikayla has performed on stages across South East Queensland, including The Princess Theatre, GOMA, Valley Fiesta, and Brisbane Powerhouse. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music (2016) from Queensland University of Technology and has since been working in live audio production, developing extensive expertise in sound engineering and event delivery.

Mikayla’s production experience includes stage management for BIGSOUND, stage patching for Wynnum Fringe, and event coordination for Brisbane City’s free live music program, City Sounds. She has also delivered front-of-house audio operation and technical support for large-scale events, including Woodford Folk Festival.

Her work spans unique and intimate performances through Sofar Sounds Brisbane to major festivals and stadium productions. She has provided audiovisual operations at well-known local venues, including Black Bear Lodge, QUIVR, The Zoo, and The Foundry, as well as at festival stages for Jungle Love and Sonic Masala. Her broader experience includes crewing support for Falls Festival and Stereosonic, and large-venue productions at QSAC, Suncorp Stadium, and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, as well as supporting international touring crews for artists such as Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, and AC/DC.

Mikayla is the sound operator for the Lord Mayor's Seniors Cabaret program and will be mentoring a one-off masterclass in microphone technique and sound setup. Blending artistic instinct with technical precision, she brings a comprehensive understanding of live music from both sides of the stage.
